Our families are made up of different types of people. The Apostle Paul focused on teaching about having a relationship with Jesus. While the Galations were placing their emphasis on a “to do list”, the importance of doing works, following certain laws, above having a free relationship with Christ.
Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Paul understood that doing ‘works’ and following laws wouldn’t ‘save’ anyone. He recognized that he was unable to keep the law by himself. He knew that only Jesus could help him. His first priority was to see and focus on a relationship with Christ. This was his message to others. We too should focus on God’s Word, and get to know Him – to be like Jesus. Take the life that God is working in you and share it with others. Share your stories, open your homes and your hearts.
