God’s intention for His Church
God’s intention for His church has not changed. His purpose has never, ever changed.
Ephesians 2:12 -22, Ephesians 3:1-20
In Ephesians we see that Christ has destroyed the barriers between men and God and each other.14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
The good news of the gospel is for everyone. Because of Christ we are God’s people, joined together with Christ as our chief cornerstone. It is He that has made us one, perfectly joined together, to rise up to be a holy temple where God lives by His Holy Spirit. God’s intention is that together, we are to be a dwelling place where He lives in us by His Holy Spirit. In God’s home we are to reflect what is important to Him.
